As well as delivering the best possible education, we also have a clinical team who provide care and therapy to benefit the students in our school.
Our clinical team includes:
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Psychologists
- Access to other types of therapy as required
The team work with each student, as well as their parents or carers, to agree a support plan which will become part of their school life, enabling them to build on their strengths and increase their resilience.
We aim to provide our students with a safe, caring and nurturing community with clear, consistent boundaries and high expectations. Relationships are at the heart of our approach and are based on sensitive understanding of a young person’s experiences and the areas in which they require more support.
Offering highly specialised screening, assessment, consultation, reflective practice supervision and bespoke training, the embedded clinical team work directly with the education team to develop a shared understanding of the student’s presenting needs and difficulties which may act as barriers to their personal and educational development as well as identify areas of strength which can support them to achieve, enjoy and fulfil their aims and wishes.
The clinical team support the education team in developing a student centred curriculum which proactively promotes the student’s emotional, social and mental health. We aim to deliver the highest quality provision which maximises each person’s quality of life and personal achievements. Our evidence informed models are based on best practice guidance and are governed through the Outcomes First Group Governance Framework. As well as classroom-based interventions, the clinical team offer direct therapeutic work within the school’s designated therapy suite. This offers the students a safe and private protected space within which to engage with a therapist.
Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)
The Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is shared with all members of staff who work with the student. The EHCP will be reviewed at least annually, usually during the annual review process: this is to ensure that the education provided supports the specific needs of the individual. The Headteacher is responsible for ensuring that all staff are aware of the contents within the EHCP.
Provision for pupils with an EHCP
In order for a student with an EHCP to reach their full potential they must have their individual education and other needs recognised and supported.
Jubilee School is a specialist school for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health related issues who are supported by professional staff with a wide range of experience and expertise in Social Emotional and Mental Health related issues and associated conditions.

Trauma Informed Practice
Our OFG Trauma Informed Practice Strategy is all about helping us respond thoughtfully to young people to help repair their trauma experiences.
Our Person-Centred Behaviour Policy helps us mainstream and embed our 3 C’s Model of Trauma Informed Practice; we approach behaviour by making sense of the child’s internal world and complex needs and respond in a collaborative way that helps children learn safe ways of being to help prepare for their future. This is through restorative principles such as natural and logical consequences, that help repair and support relationships.
